Sardis AprilFest & Open Car Show

Sardis Chamber of Commerce and the Mississippi Delta Street Rodders host an annual AprilFest and Open Car Show on Main Street each April.  A 5K Walk/Run benefitting the Heflin House Museum of Sardis is held each year.  Food vendors and crafters are organized by the Sardis Chamber of Commerce (662.487.3451 or 662.609.2159).  The Car Show is organized by local Mississippi Delta Street Rodders Ronnie and Angie Hinton (662.934.6189 or 662.934.4143).  Fun for all ages!
 

City of Batesville SpringFest

SpringFest is an annual two day festival on the Downtown Square in Batesville featuring great music, good food and lots of fun.  A wide variety of events and entertainment are offered to our festival goers.  Live radio remotes with prize giveaways and amusement rides and games are all part of the fun.  Throughout the two-day festival national, regional and local entertainment is featured.   Admission to the festival area is free.  There is also a 5K held the Saturday morning each year of SpringFest.  Registration is available at www.racesonline.com.  The 2014 SpringFest will be held May 16-17.  For more information, please call 888.872.6652.

 

St. Jude Bass Classic

The St. Jude Bass Classic is an annual pick your partner fishing tournament held at the Sardis Lake on Memorial Day weekend.  The tournament is limited to 350 boats and benefits St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.  For more information, visit www.stjudefishing.com
  


Panola Partnership Legislative Day 2012

This year's event was held on Thursday, September 13, 2012.  The morning consists of a brief coffee time before a series of legislative forums at the Batesville Civic Center.  The audience is invited to voice their concerns by asking questions and have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the panel during the breaks.  For the afternoon we have two events planned: a golf scramble at Panola Country Club or a Skeet Shoot at the West's Farm.  Whether you choose to participate in any of the above activities or not, we will host a Legislative Reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m at Panola Country Club.  For more information, please call 888.872.6652.

 

Batesville's Annual "Showoff on the Square" Open Car Show

The 4th Annual Open Car Show will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Downtown Batesville.  Showoff on the Square is a one-day event organized by the Batesville Main Street Program volunteers and office staff that will feature an open car show, food vendors, a children’s area and arts and crafts vendors.  The car show is open to all makes & models of car, truck or motorcycle.  The registration fee is $20.  Registration will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon.  Judging will be held at 1:00 p.m. with trophy presentation at 3:00 p.m.  For the public to enjoy, there will be live entertainment, great food and door prizes.  

 

City of Batesville Holiday Open House

The Holiday Open House is held the Sunday before Thanksgiving each year from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  City-wide merchants open their doors for customers to begin their holiday shopping.  Additional activities include live entertainment, carriage rides, and various childrens’ activities.  Local/regional musicians perform at the Downtown Memorial Park (Amphitheater).  There is no charge for the public.  Carriage ride tickets are sold to benefit Batesville Main Street Projects.  Paid activities for children include volunteers helping with Letters to Santa and ornament decorating for the town Christmas tree.  Aside from downtown merchants, local/regional artists set up in a banquet hall downtown to sell/display their wares.  For more information, please call 888.872.6652.
